Terra Quick Start is a data plan. Its scoring, its lab biomarkers and its streaming are each priced separately on top. Sahha's scores, biomarkers, archetypes, tags and insights are on every plan, including the free trial.

Monthly list price on both sides. Billed annually the base plans are $399 and $299. Terra's pricing page lists Health Scores as a Quick Start add-on from $499, while its documentation describes scores arriving in the data payload without mentioning a surcharge, so confirm which applies to your contract. Clinical lab biomarkers are a separate Terra product, covered further down. Their credit model is genuinely cheaper than a flat tier where few of your users ever connect a device, since it bills connections rather than people. That is worth knowing, and it is also the case this page turns on: those users keep sending phone data to both platforms, and only one of them returns a score for it.

Validation

Validated by what, exactly.

Terra does publish research, including a Nature Portfolio paper, and it would be wrong to imply otherwise. The narrower question is what sits behind the scores you would be buying: the marketing describes them as validated without naming the study, the sample or the method, so the claim cannot be checked from outside.

Sahha publishes the study underneath its models with sample size, ethics approval and limitations stated, and runs the same models on every deployment, so a score means the same thing in your product as in anyone else.

Limitations

What Sahha does not do.

No clinical lab panels
Sahha biomarkers are behavioural and physiological, not clinical. Terra standardises over 4,100 lab biomarkers through its Lab Reports API, roughly 1,900 of them mapped to LOINC. If lab values have to sit alongside wearable data in one schema, that is a real reason to choose them.
No test ordering
Sahha reads signal a user already generates rather than ordering anything new. Terra Vantage orders blood and DNA kits and returns FHIR, in the UK and USA. A diagnostics workflow needs that from somewhere, and it will not be from us.
No live streaming
Sahha delivers over webhooks and REST, which is the wrong shape for a live session. Terra streams sub-second over BLE and ANT+ and ships a WearOS SDK. If your product is a workout screen updating in real time, that is their category and we are not in it.
Far fewer direct cloud connections
Terra lists roughly 90 named integrations, most of them server-side connections to a wearable cloud. Sahha has four: Oura, WHOOP, Garmin and Dexcom. Everything else reaches Sahha through Apple Health or Health Connect, which needs your app on the device. For a product spread across many wearable brands with no app to ship, Terra is the better fit and it is not close.

    When a user connects a wearable, that permission belongs to whoever registered the connection. Sahha uses accounts you create and own, so connections you already hold move across and your users do nothing. Where your current vendor owns them, users approve once more, into an account that is then yours. Phone data is unaffected either way: Apple Health and Health Connect grant it to your app, not to the code inside it.

Is Sahha cheaper than Terra?

At entry level yes, and the gap widens with scoring. Sahha Starter is $299/mo billed annually for 1,000 users with every feature included. Terra Quick Start is $399/mo billed annually and lists Health Scores as an add-on from $499/mo, so from $898/mo for the same job, covering roughly 500 active authentications on their published credit rates. Sahha is free for 30 days with nothing paid up front; Terra’s equivalent is a 30-day money-back guarantee, which means paying $399 first and asking for it back. Does Terra support Apple Health and Health Connect?

Yes. Terra’s Mobile SDK connects Apple Health, Samsung Health, and Google Fit or Health Connect, and Terra documents these as the only integrations the Mobile SDK is used for. So a mobile SDK reading the phone health stores is not a Sahha-only capability. The difference is emphasis: for Terra it is one path among many, and for Sahha it is the collection model.

Can Sahha work without a wearable?

Yes. Sleep, activity and mental wellbeing all score from smartphone signal alone, with mental wellbeing carrying full factor coverage from the phone, and biomarkers include values inferred from phone sensors rather than read from a device. Terra’s scores require inputs like HRV, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, SpO2 or sleep stages, and their documentation states none computes from step count alone.

Which one should I use for a clinical or regulated product?

It depends on which part is regulated. Terra offers FHIR output, lab biomarker standardisation with LOINC codes, and test-kit ordering through Vantage, none of which Sahha has. Sahha offers DPA and BAA from its Pro tier, where Terra lists a signed BAA as an Enterprise inclusion. If you need clinical lab interoperability, Terra. Can I use both?

Yes, and some teams do. The architectures are complementary rather than overlapping: Terra for direct wearable cloud connections and clinical lab data, Sahha for phone-derived behavioural and mental health signal.
